Grenache Blanc is the main white grape in the Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf du Pape appellations. While plantings in California have increased considerably in the last few years, there are still only about 250 acres in the state. The warm days and cool nights of The Foothills showcase the unique qualities common to this varietal – a subtle richness and racy natural acidity.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2017 Grenache Blanc is of medium weight with pronounced acidity that lingers on the finish. On the nose you will find aromatics of pear, citrus leaf and white flowers coupled with hints of fresh herbs, lime zest and wet stones.
Winemaker's Notes
The 2017 is predominantly from the Swansborough vineyard, which is perched high above the American River in the northern part of the appellation. One barrel (6%) was skin fermented to dryness, bringing structure and complexity to the finished wine. The wine is fermented with native yeast and aged in stainless steel barrels and neutral oak for 6 months prior to bottling on March 1st, 2018.
