Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2015 rosé is fresh and bright with classic aromatics of strawberries, white flowers, and watermelon, coupled with subtle tropical notes of guava and mango. The palate starts out broad but quickly focuses with pronounced acidity.
Winemaker's Notes
The 2015 rosé is 100% “purposeful” rosé in that all of the fruit utilized for the wine was grown, picked, and pressed for the sole purpose of rosé rather than bleeding off juice in a saignée method. The fruit was pressed after 2 to 12 hours on its skins depending on the varietal, resulting in a light salmon skin hue. This is the first year that Mourvedre takes center stage with Counoise and Grenache acting as role players.
