Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2014 Dry Diggings blend is full-bodied with intense minerality and dense fruit and structure on the palate. Its velvety tannins are complemented by fresh acidity on the finish. On the nose, aromatics of dark red, black, and blue fruits dominate with tertiary notes of pipe tobacco, cocoa powder, dried herbs, and dirt.
Winemaker's Notes
The 2014 vintage varies from its predecessor due to the increase in Grenache and omission of Counoise this year. The wine spends 18 months in French oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur added.
