Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2013 Dry Diggings blend is structured with intense minerality on the palate. Its velvety tannins are complemented by fresh acidity on the finish. On the nose, aromatics of dark red and blue fruits dominate with secondary savory notes of cured meats, pipe tobacco, cocoa powder, dried herbs, and dirt.
Winemaker's Notes
The 2013 vintage is very similar in style and composition as the previous vintage. It has 39% Syrah with a combined 39% of Grenache and Counoise. The remaining components include small amounts of Petite Syrah, Mourvedre, and Viognier. The wine spends 23 months undisturbed in French oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur added.
